Nordic Crane Kynningsrud was an important player during the building of The Norwegian Opera in Bjørvika in Oslo during a four year period until it was finished in 2007.
In connection with the construction of a test pool for a subsea compression system at Shell's Ormen Lange plant in Aukra, Nordic Crane Stangeland was commissioned with loading up all the components from Aker's yard in Egersund, unloading them at Aukra, and transporting them through the facility to the test pit. The ten modules, weighing up to 350 tonnes each, then had to be lifted down into the 15 m deep test pool.
It was an historical day as Nordic Crane Kynningsrud lifted the last main part of the new ski jump in Oslo, an importent landmark and tourist attraction as well as sport resort. The tower was lifted with millimeter precision.
